A 1997 Honda 300 TRX ATV, tan in color (478TE1502VA810477) that was stolen from the 800 block of Foster Chapel Road in Searcy between 04/29/13 and 05/18/13. The ATV had a home-made rack on the front and the seat was torn and repaired with black tape. White County Detectives Investigating Potential Phone Scams
Detectives with the White County Sheriff’s Department are investigating miscellaneous calls from unknown parties in Puerto Rico and / other overseas locations where the unknown Suspect will say something to the effect of; “your family member has been in an accident and needs funds now…” or “your family member has been kidnapped…” Then Suspect(s) would demand for victim to give an account number and / or wire money, (Western Union; etc.), to another account number to keep from further harm coming to the family member. These calls are designed to “scam” you out money.
Phillip Walls (D.O.B. 04/19/1971) lives at 111 Fire Tower Road in Bald Knob and drives a white Chevrolet extended cab Z71 truck (Ark. LP# 287RPI). He is a suspect in stealing copper ground wire from utility poles by using wrench with a rope tied to it that he would throw over the lines. If you see this vehicle or person, use your discretion for contact and look for these items or copper that appeared to have been taken from utility poles
